SAVANNAH HEALY, NAU CLINICAL INTERN

Savannah is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern and graduate student at Northern Arizona University. She earned her B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Addiction Studies and has experience supporting individuals in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Savannah values building a therapeutic relationship where clients feel respected and heard. She recognizes that each person’s identity, culture, and lived experiences shape the stories they carry and deserve to be acknowledged and honored. She approaches counseling with curiosity and strives to create an intentional space where clients feel comfortable exploring both life’s challenges and the strengths they already possess.

Savannah is passionate about working with teens and adults navigating anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. Her approach is collaborative and strengths-based, tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. She draws from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Relational Cultural Theory (RCT). She also incorporates existential influences to explore the deeper meaning and questions that can arise during life’s more challenging seasons. Savannah recognizes the vulnerability it takes to work through life’s tender moments and considers it an honor to be invited into that process.
