MICHELLE PREM, MA LAMFT
I believe therapy is most effective when clients feel genuinely heard, supported, and empowered. My approach is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy while incorporating Solution-Focused Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills to meet each client’s unique needs and goals.
I work with adolescents and adults, with a particular passion for supporting teen girls as they navigate self-esteem, relationships, and life’s challenges. I also enjoy helping individuals explore identity development, navigate life transitions, and build confidence through periods of growth and change. In addition, I work with couples seeking to strengthen communication, deepen connection, and navigate relationship concerns in a collaborative, supportive environment.
I am currently a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist practicing under supervision of a Licensed Professional Counselor. I earned a Masters of Advanced Studies in Marriage and Family Therapy, and Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior, both from Arizona State University. I have experience both in agency and private practice settings, with extensive experience working with youth and families involved in the child welfare system, giving me a strong foundation in trauma-informed care and family systems.
My goal is to create a calm, collaborative space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
