DEBORAH DOORLEY, MA LMSW
Life can be overwhelming and unpredictable at times. It can make us feel stuck, confused and alone, especially if were dealing with challenges such as anxiety, depression, the impact of trauma, addiction and the complexities that these challenges may bring to our relationships in life. How we respond to these challenges can have a great impact on the outcome. I can help you navigate through these challenges. I take a warm and direct approach in working with young adults, adults and families. I have a compassionate, authentic and non-judgmental way of guiding you through your healing journey to attain your goals—whatever they may be! I can help you reconnect with your authentic Self—guiding you through your healing process; gain deeper understanding of the connections between emotions, thoughts & behaviors (CBT), and generational influences and family dynamics (Family Systems). I also utilize DBT to help you develop coping skills, experiential and psychodrama techniques, expressive art and am IFS- informed.
I earned by Bachelor’s degree from Rutger’s University and my Master’s in Clinical Social work from Boston University. My past experience includes working in-patient with emerging adults struggling with trauma, addiction and mental health challenges, families of emerging adults, adult outpatient group work, as well as 18 years of working with children and teens who struggled with learning differences, such as dyslexia.
Iwould love to meet with you to learn where you are at in your journey, and to gain insight of your individual needs and strengths!
